Massive 'Doomsday Fish' Caught In Australia: Omen Of An Earthquake?
Afisherman duo have caught a "doomsday fish" with terrifying features and a bizarre head structure. The creature caught by Curtis Peterson has gone viral soon after it was shared to Fishing Australia's social media page. The gigantic fish was captured off the Melville Island coast. It was caught during a recent moonlight fishing sessions.
Referring to the grand discovery NT News columnist Alex Julius said, "It's the first time I've ever heard someone land a fish like that up here. It's also very rare to land one of these fish, most being found washed up ashore already deceased."

The viral picture of the creature has prompted many to react and give their opinion.One user on X commented, "LMFAOO that's huge."
Another user on X reacted, "Why does it have a head like a horse?"
"The reason they're called doomsday fish is because when they're found in shallower waters, it's because there was an earthquake underwater and there might be one coming to the mainland soon too," said a third user on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The fish originally called an Oarfish, can grow up to nine Metres long. These creatures are often mistaken for snakes when found near the land. These rarely spotted creatures swim vertically up to 1000 Metres to hunt for their prey.
