Relief For Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah As HC Refuses CBI Probe In MUDA Case

The Karnataka High Court refused to transfer the investigation by the Lokayukta police into the alleged Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, to the Central Bureau of Investigation. While pronouncing the order, Justice M Nagaprasanna said, “The material on record does not indicate that investigation conducted by Lokayukta is partisan or lood sidedoor shoddy for this court to refer the matter to CBI for further investigation or reinvestigation. Petition is dismissed.”

Heavy rain likely in western India, Delhi to witness light showers Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and hailstorms is likely to lash parts of western India, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Madhya Pradesh, from November 26 to 28, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday. "Isolated heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and hailstorm activities, is likely over Gujarat state, southeast Rajasthan, southwest Madhya Pradesh, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada on the 26th and over Vidarbha on the 27th and 28th of November," the IMD said in a statement.
