India has firmly rejected claims made by Pakistan’s foreign office that India was involved in the Jaffar Express attack.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, in a statement said that the world is aware of where global terrorism originates and suggested that Pakistan should focus on its own issues rather than blaming others for its internal problems and failures.
Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan had claimed in his weekly press briefing that India has been involved in terrorism in Pakistan and for the attack on Jaffar express, the terrorists were in touch with their leaders in Afghanistan.
Relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have become tense because of regular border clashes and Pakistan accusing the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) of using Afghan land to carry out attacks.
However, Kabul denies these claims. The statement was made after Pakistan’s security forces said they had killed all 33 Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) rebels who hijacked the Jaffar Express, which was carrying over 400 passengers.
The Pakistani Army has not released any photos or videos of the claimed “successful operation.” Meanwhile, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) insists that the Pakistani army is hiding its defeat.
