Bharti Airtel Ltd shares surged on Tuesday, hitting a 52-week high of ₹1,816.80, after the telecom major announced a tie-up with Blinkit to deliver SIM cards to customers’ homes in just 10 minutes.
The stock rose as much as 3.45% intraday before trading at ₹1,800.70, up 2.47%, on the BSE at 2:29 pm.
The service, which is the first of its kind for Airtel, has already launched in 16 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
The company plans to expand the service to more cities in the coming months. Customers will be charged a nominal ₹49 convenience fee for the doorstep delivery.
According to Airtel, customers can choose between prepaid or postpaid plans and even port their existing numbers (MNP). The SIM activation process is Aadhaar-based and must be completed within 15 days of delivery. Assistance will be available through the Airtel Thanks app.

The stock rose to an intraday high of ₹1,818 on the BSE before trading 2.4% higher at ₹1,800 as of 1:38 pm.
