UltraTech Cements Ltd., India's largest cement company, announced its highest dividend on record, along with its March quarter results on Monday, April 28.
The company's board approved a dividend payout of ₹77.5 per share, which is higher than the ₹70 per share that it announced the last instance.
Back in 2022 and 2023, the Aditya Birla Group company had approved a dividend payout of ₹38 per share each. Since 2021, UltraTech's dividend payouts have been in excess of ₹30 per share.

This will result in an outgo of ₹2,283.75 crore for the company and will be taxed at the hands of shareholders. No record date has been shared by the company for the said payout so far.
The cement company has paid dividends to its shareholders annually every year, starting 2008. From 2008 to 2020, the dividend payout ranged between ₹5 to ₹13 per share.
UltraTech reported its March quarter results, where the company warned of the sector facing some short-term challenges. Most of the other parameters were in-line with expectations.
Shares of UltraTech Cement are trading 0.8% lower on Monday at ₹12,137. The stock had gained 5.5% in the one month prior to its results announcement.
