Operation Sindoor: Pakistan is mobilising its troops to the forward areas on the border with an intent to escalate the situation, the Indian government said on Saturday, warning that India does not seek escalation of the situation.
Addressing a joint special briefing of the Ministry of Defence and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Col Sofiya Qureshi said that all hostile actions by the Pakistan military have been responded to appropriately so far and the Indian armed forces are in a “high state of operational readiness”.
“Pakistan military has been observed to be moving their troops into forward areas, indicating an offensive intent to further escalate the situation. Indian armed forces remain in a high state of operational readiness. All hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded to appropriately. Indian armed forces reiterate their commitment to non-escalation, provided it is reciprocated by the Pakistani military,” the military representatives at the briefing said.
