Abhishek Sharma became the fastest player in the world to score 1000 T20I runs in terms of balls. The record was previously held by Tim David, who reached 1000 T20I runs in 569 balls. Abhishek took 528 balls to achieve the massive feat.
Abhishek Sharma became the highest run-getter of the series with 163 runs at a staggering strike rate of 161.39. He earned the Player of the Series award as a result. This was his third Player of the Series award in T20Is.
