Amidst the tributes pouring in, a moment from Hema Malini’s conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar resurfaces, offering a glimpse into how the legendary actor became her life partner.

The First Moment

On the celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, hosted by Karan Johar, Hema Malini shared the story of her first impressions of Dharmendra. When asked about the moment she realized he would be the man in her life, she recalled her initial reaction on seeing him. She admitted that she never anticipated he would become her husband, but felt that someone like him should be in her life.

“It was the first time I really looked at him, and I just thought, somebody like him should come into my life,” Hema explained. Her words highlighted that her connection began not as an immediate romantic realization, but as an admiration for his presence and persona.
