Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name in the history books as he put up a batting display for the ages on debut for India-A against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the West End International Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on Friday (November 14) with a ton in 32 balls.
Vaibhav opened the batting for the Jitesh Sharma-led side alongside Priyansh Arya and put up a stunning knock of 144 runs in just 42 balls, which included 11 boundaries and 14 sixes.
The Indian star's effort is the joint-second fastest by an Indian alongside Rishabh Pant, with only Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma (28 balls) ahead of him. Overall, it is the sixth-quickest around the world.

Vaibhav Suryanvahi Creates History
This marked the second T20 century of Vaibhav's career, having made a 35-ball ton for the Rajasthan Royals against the Gujarat Titans (GT) earlier this year in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) at Jaipur. The 14-year-old has now become the first player in history to have two centuries in the shortest format of the game in 35 balls or fewer. The record previously belonged to Chennai Super Kings star Urvil, with World No.1 T20I batter Abhishek and South African cricket legend David Miller not far away

Vaibhav has also become the youngest player to score two T20 centuries, with the previous record belonging to France Gustav McKeon, while among Indian players, Unmukt Chand held the record with Pant a close third.
Vaibhav (14 years, 232 days) also broke McKeon's (18 years, 280 days) record for being the youngest to hit a T20 century for a national team representative.
With 11 boundaries and 14 sixes, Vaibhav made 134 runs in boundaries, which is the joint-fourth most in a T20 innings alongside Finn Allen and the most by an Indian. Only Chris Gayle (154), Hazratullah Zazai (140), and Graham Napier (136) have more. The previous best tally by an Indian player came from Punit Bisht (126), whose tally of 17 sixes for Meghalaya vs Mizoram is still an Indian record, with Vaibhav now second on the list.
