Kashmir: Three Youth Detained After Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Philippines' Numbers Found On Their Mobiles

Jammu and Kashmir News: Security agencies detained three youth from the remote Dorsi village under the Rajbagh police station in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Two are from Anantnag in Kashmir, while another is from Dorsi. Three Pakistani numbers, two Saudi Arabia numbers, and one Philippines number were found on the mobile phone of one of the detainees. Another youth's phone also made numerous calls to Pakistan.

The Army apprehended the three while they were roaming around in suspicious circumstances and handed them over to the police.

Phones Sent To Lab For Probe

The mobile phones of all three have been seized. The phones found with Pakistani, Saudi Arabia, and Philippines numbers have been sent to a cyber lab for further investigation.According to sources, Mohammad Arif, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag, had come to the home of his relative, Sajid Hussain, a resident of Dorsi village, with his friend, Basharat Ahmed, a resident of Qazigund. On Thursday, all three were roaming around under suspicious circumstances.

What Youth Said On Speaking To Pakistanis On Phone

One of them, Mohammad Arif, had numbers from Pakistan, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia on his mobile phone. When the call history was examined, it was found that Arif had repeatedly spoken on Pakistani numbers. However, when Arif was questioned about this, he stated that he received calls from Pakistani numbers. They also attempted to lure him by offering money. To check the credibility of these claims, the police and several other investigating agencies were questioning Arif.


It should be noted that search operations have been ongoing in this area for several days due to the presence of terrorists. Two days ago, the Army, Police, and CRPF jointly conducted a thorough search for two suspects.

Three Arrested For Filming Kathua Court

In another development on Friday afternoon, three youth were detained at the district court while filming the court premises under suspicious circumstances. Their mobile phones have been confiscated. Police are investigating the matter. It is reported that youth, residents of Ramban, had arrived at the court premises for a hearing in an accident case.

As soon as they arrived, they began filming various locations with their mobile phones. Upon receiving information, the police team present there apprehended them. However, late in the evening, Kathua police released the three young men after obtaining information from Ramban police. The police found nothing incriminating about them.
