Meanwhile, the Supreme Court heard CPI(M) general secretary M.A. Baby's petition seeks directions to the Delhi Police for allowing the October 10 peaceful protest, directing the government to ensure that there is “no complete prohibition” on the movement of metro trains and other road and railway services. The court also asked the government to consider giving permission to protest at an alternate site.
