A Canadian tourist’s comments comparing hospitality in India and Pakistan have stirred a debate on social media. In a short video clip shared by Instagram user @officialnamour, known for his vox pop videos, Canadian traveller Nolan Saumure was asked which country offered better hospitality.

Without hesitation, Saumure responded, "Pakistan, obviously." When asked to elaborate, he claimed that in India, foreigners are often treated as "walking ATMs", while in Pakistan, people offer genuine hospitality, sharing their food and even inviting travellers into their homes.

"You go to India, and people just look at you as a walking ATM," Saumure said in the video. "You go to Pakistan, and people are just like, ‘Oh, come here, sit, take this free food, come sleep at my place.’"

The video, captioned "India or Pakistan, which country has better hospitality?", has gained over four million views and sparked intense discussion online.

If you make these kinds of jokes then don't come here.”
